Steven founded a video production firm in 2014, and somewhere between interviewing college professors, or holding a Ronin while riding a van through a water logged neighborhood in Cap-Haïtien, he realized that he had a knack for building boutique teams to fit specific client’s needs. A few years later Abide in Media gave birth to Glasswing, a digital marketing firm that provided a more comprehensive digital product line for companies ranging from non profits in Uganda to a prominent immigration law firm in Michigan.
After discovering unexpected synergy between himself, a producer, and Bob, a commercial developer, that vendor client relationship blossomed into a partnership. Turns out storytelling, ingenuity, and resourcefulness (as well as capital) are an integral part of seeing any creative production come together whether it’s digital or commercial.

Chris Van Doeselaar is the Founder and CEO of Newco Design Build. Newco is a Commercial Design Build contractor located in West Michigan. He founded the company is 2010 in the height of the recession on the principals of Trust, Communication, Team, and Relationships. He felt there was a better way to help clients through the design and construction experience. He has used that knowledge to build a 50-million-dollar design build company focused on corporate clients and repeat work. Since 2010 the company has grown to support clients in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, and Kentucky. Newco is focused on helping their clients achieve success through the design and construction process.
